Yoko Taro. 8D He’s a big inspiration as you might’ve noticed if you’re following my sketchember and inktober so far. His stories are just AWESOME and I LOVE THEM. I cry just thinking of the end of Drakengard 3 AND both Niers. Both of them. The thing. And I love SinoAlice. He’s a genius, seriously, his stories touch the heart to the level of leaving you wondering about the meaning of life after finishing the game. And then you have to run around looking for more content in other medias becAUSE HE JUST LOVES TO DO THAT. THE STORY IS NOT WHOLE WITHIN THE GAME, NOOOO, YOU NEED TO SPEND HOURS LOOKING FOR BOOKS, NOVELS, VIDEOS, THEATER PLAYS AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
And still I love his works. Vand represents me.
This is a big deal for Korea. In most Asian counties, if you’re not like a size 2 you might as well be a fucking hippo and it has a huge effect on women’s self esteem.
Oh, heavens… not drawing in anime style feels so alein. Even though I enjoyed it, the drawing doesn’t look made by me at all and it feels very weird, even thoguh that’s what today’s challenge proposes.
You might know this artist if you’re usually on Tapastic, actually. <3 It’s Diogo Dornelles’! I chose the most recent style of his webcomic “Meet Sally” specifically because it’s so out of my comfort zone. I’ve never tried cartoon before, so it felt fresh, even though it’s still strange.

It has been bothering me these days, and got me wondering: why do people tend to overestimate family?
Now, before I proceed, let me tell you: I don’t hate my family and I’m actually quite grateful for everything they’ve done to me, especially my mom, BUT STILL, doesn’t change the fact that people overestimate family quite a lot.
I mean, I’m sure you remember fighting with someone from your family and have people tell you it was wrong and you should make up soon, since it’s your family. How wrong is that? Sure, some fights are silly and should be resolved as soon as possible, but I don’t think being blood related has anything to do with it.
I also don’t think that being blood related gives you the right to be a big ass jerk and expect to be forgiven just because of it. Come on, how unreasonable is that? There are family members who steal, beat up, rape and abuse each other in the most varied way.
It happened to someone near me not so long ago. It happened to me not so long ago. It probably happened to everybody who’s reading this right now. Don’t you think it’s unfair?
As far as I know, wanting to cut relations with a family member gets you the label of someone icy cold, mean, evil or just plain indifferent, when you’re actually just trying to protect yourself from someone who makes your life miserable. And I hate it.
I hate it how people just keep repeating this thing over and over without ever stopping to think about the whole meaning of family. Sure, they can be good and help you out, but it doesn’t make them any less human than you. And guess what? Humans screw up.
And at last, but not least important, love is not something that you automatically get from being born in the same family tree, you need to earn and deserve it. I don’t think, at all, that cutting contact with someone who does you harm is a bad thing. I actually encourage you on doing so. You deserve to be happy.

Everytime I draw Vand I secrectly ask myself why the hell did I make a character design with so many details. It looks simple at first glance but it takes a reasonable amount of time to drAW THE FREAKING LACE AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA Tried a bit more of grey this time~~
